We spent Easter weekend at the coast in Port Aransas this year! It's a graet place to go fishing and since it is my brother's last couple months with us, my mom wanted to squeeze in one last deep sea fishing trip for the guys and a weekend getaway for the family to spend together!
We left Thursday after Kyler's preschool day and Jason got off work just to spend the weekend till Sunday. Kyler had the share bag for this day and had to bring snack, so we made a rice krispie treat easter egg for him to take! He had fun decorating it, but more candies made it into his mouth than on his egg:)
The next morning, friday, the guys headed out early onto their deep sea fishing trip while the girls shopped, had lunch, and laid out by the pool later that afternoon. Thinking about the guys throughout the day and thinking they were having a blast, was all changed when they showed up back at the condo while we were playing at the pool to reveal the story of their day! In a nut shell, the WORST deep sea fishing trip ever and it was the first one Jason had ever been on. My dad never left the cabin because he was so sick. Jason threw up over 30 times right in line with my 2 brothers, my cousin Tori, and Uncle Scotty. My cousin Chase was the only one that never threw up and Scotty and Chase were the only 2 that even caught anything that day on the boat- and it wasn't even great, just baby sharks was all they were catching that day.
So needless to say, our day was great:) and theirs stunk!

At lunch that afternoon! The boys didn't know what to think of this Pirate...
Easter morning came a day early for the boys so they could have some toys to play with and their fishing poles to fish off the pier with everyone else! They woke up to their easter egg trail that the bunny leaves for them to find their baskets!
Kyler was so excited to see new engine trains, James and Gordon!
We made sure we brought a few tracks so we could test them out!
Huge success, they loved their new engines and entertained us all morning with their easter stuff!
Time to learn how to use these new fishing poles!
Easter egg dying! It was a hit and the kids were so into it!
Aunt Whitney is trying to figure out the egg spinner which was a cheap, non working item. Won't be purchasing that next year:)
These roller brushes were a hit and fun for everyone!
Still working on that egg spinner...go Whit:)
Camden was concentrating so much on his egg it was too cute!
The crew!!!
Our end result, aren't they beautiful!
