I heard ALL about this little "elf on a shelf" and had to see what it was all about! Thanks to pinterest I was able to invite this little elf into our home in a fun way with a "North Pole" breakfast- powdered donuts, hot chocolate with marshmallows, and yummy fruit! We then read the cute book that comes with the elf! The boys got to name their elf after reading the book and it was cute seeing what they were coming up with! Kyler, of course, wanted Tiger or Lion and Camden wanted to name him Santa...somehow we came to Elfie with the help of mommy and daddy:) It was a fun morning and our daddy stuck around to enjoy breakfast with the boys that morning!
The idea of the elf is to promote good behavior for the whole month of December working up till Christmas! Elfie flew home every night to report the boys behavior to Santa and flew back by morning to land in a new spot in the house somewhere! The boys loved looking for Elfie every morning and some mornings he was in the same spot (bad mommy:) So, I had to be quick on my feet and tell the boys that Elfie thought they were so good that he didn't even have to go report to Santa or that Elfie was just too tired to fly to the North Pole so he spent the night at our house that night! I've got to be better next year because the older the boys get the more they can figure out!!!
