Christmas Activities are what make the month of December so much fun! Our family tradition every year is to make Christmas cookies for friends and neighbors, but most important our teachers!:)
Kyler and Camden are icing cookies for Kyler's preschool teacher, Mrs. Lynette, one morning before Kyler headed off to preschool! he was so excited to make cookies for his teacher! I Love a child's spirit of giving!
Little hands at work!
The finished product with EXTRA sprinkles:) You can never have too many sprinkles and a preschool teacher is one of a few that can appreciate cookies that look like these:)
One of my friends directs a Youth Choir called the Texas Stars and they were performing at the Galleria Mall doing their Christmas production, so knowing that Jason was still on crutches and couldn't do a lot of walking, I decided to make it a Mommy date night with the boys! We had SO MUCH FUN!!!! They got to play at the new play ground for a little while when we first got there with some friends of theirs that had siblings in the choir!
Aren't the girls choir outfits so cute!
We then listened to them sing their songs and watched them do their choreography and it was adorable! Music always brings the spirit of Christmas to me and so what more than a youth choir doing it for you!
After listening to the choir, I took the boys down to the food court to grab smoothies and we sat by the ice skating rink and watched the skaters skate. The boys were having a great time, if only mom wouldn't bug them with so many pictures:) But, this giant Christmas tree is about 3-4 stories high and is in the middle of the ice rink so we had to get a picture by that!!! After a little entertainment and smoothies, we couldn't leave without visiting the famous candy store at the mall! The kids even picked out daddy's favorite candy to bring back to him saying it will make his knee feel better:) Candy just cures all to a little one!!! I had such a fun date with my boys and we still talk about the giant candy store! It was a fun night!
Our ward December play group was making gingerbread houses! Anything involving candy my boys LOVE! They had great fun decorating a house!
Kyler is a very neat kid and very precise on what he does so he does everything carefully:)
Beautiful Kyler!!!
Camden, on the other hand, is a little rougher and his house broke after a few hard pokes at sticking a candy on and down it went:(
But, that didn't stop him from having fun and he just went straight to his gingerbread man to make him look yummy!
His little hands working so hard!!!
Ta Da!!!! Yum Yum Camden! Way to go!
