State Championship...Here We Come!!

This past weekend we mourned the Ute's loss to BYU, but were stunned by the win my brother's football team managed to pull through with against one of the toughest teams in our state! Even after a long 2 1/2 hour drive to Austin, screaming kids and the stadium lights blowing a fuse and all the lights turning off before we even had the coin toss, it was one of the BEST football games I have ever been to! And the WIN just topped it off!!
We played Dallas Skyline last weekend and were definitely projected to loose and end our chances at seeing our way to state! (This team is who we also played last year in 3rd round playoffs, but lost to them- so we really wanted to come away with this win this time!!) That all changed in the last quarter when our team came together and made some amazing plays that changed the verdict of the game!! See here for an article on the game:

Camden with Meme, Gigi and Glen.

Since we had to drive to Austin for the game, and it was Thanksgiving weekend, our babysitter end up being a portable DVD plyer with a new "Choo Choo" movie to watch for being good boys!! The things you will do to enjoy a football game!!
Camden with my Aunt Lindie and Uncle Kent- my dad's brother!
Well, after arriving home and Kyler getting to see his Uncle Coco play football, he was offically obsessed! The boys both got little footballs that the cheerleaders were throwing into the stands at the game, and in the last quarter Kyler was yelling and cheering along with us. He even had a hoarse voice like the rest of us after the game and insisted on wearing his football jersey just like Uncle Coco's over his pj's to bed!
Then, I caught him trying to play football with Camden this morning after we had to put on what he thinks is a "football shirt and shorts"- his outfit was picked out all by himself! All he talks about is football and his football shirts! Cracks me up! In this video my camera ran out of space on my memory stick so it cuts off in the end!

Congrats to your brother. I always get the update on that from Mike. It's funny how much football can hold us all to together. Your boys are looking big! Maybe we can do a play date this week. I have a sore throat so maybe later in the week.....
