After leaving Galveston Beach, we headed more inland to Kemah, TX in hopes of finding a place to eat and stay!! Kemah is a cute town on the water that has a boardwalk with lots of restaurants, a carnival, some cute shops, and lots of boats to watch! Since it is a boardwalk, and we are now starving, the only places they had to eat
at were all Seafood items (and if you k
now me- I don't eat the stuff!!).We ended up eating right on the water at The Flying Dutchman and I had about 4 things to choose from- 2 kinds of steak or 2 kinds of chicken! It was good food and Jason had me try one of his fried shrimp- I'll admit is wasn't too bad!!
After dinner, we watched a live band and had a little funnel cake for dessert until our little guy was about to crash.
We stayed in the South Shore Harbor Resort (the building right behind Jason and Kyler in this picture!!) and it was really nice! We had a view of the harbor from our
hotel room with a complementary breakfast buffet the next morning.
They were even having a "Ballooner's Fair" across the lake from our hotel that morning and we were able to see tons of hot air balloons flying in the air. It is a little foggy in the picture from the morning dew over the water, but it was a neat site to see!So, after what we thought was going to be a regret for trying to go somewhere without making the plans first turned out to be a blast and we enjoyed every minute together!!:)

How fun! It sounds like you guys had a great time. We are going to go to Kemah this weekend for the first time- hopefully we'll have the same results as you guys did!
