This year Jason turned another year younger, 34, on March 10th!!! It made for an interesting day! I took Camden to the doctor the day before and he was put on antibiotics for a bad ear infection and viral bug that was causing a cough and congestion which meant a hard time sleeping for him which also meant ending up in our bed and no sleep for mom and dad:)
Then Jason came home from work the day before his birthday feeling the same symptoms as Camden and not feeling so well so he got what Camden got. I had had a sore throat for a solid week now and did not know why it was so painful. I went to the doctor on the morning of Jason's birthday and found out I had Strep Throat. It was the weirdest thing because I did not feel sick in any way and ran no fever, just my throat was hurting and it was getting harder and harder to swollow every day.
So, needless to say, we took it easy that day! Jason wanted to go shopping for some new clothes so we dropped the boys off with my mom for just a couple hours and we went to the outlet mall and shopped and then went to a late dinner at this Italian place Jason loves out by us! It was still fun to get to spend time together for his birthday, but seeing that we both felt not so great, we cut the night short and headed back to my mom's to sing happy birthday to him! My Grandma and Glen were in town headed to Kinder, Louisiana so they were there that night when we got back to help us sing and celebrate!
"Just BLOW Camden...no spitting..." Daddy had such great helpers to get ALL those candles blown out this year!
YUM...
YUM!!!
For Jason's birthday present, we took a weekend getaway trip to San Antonio! We took the boys to Sea World on Saturday and then spent the night at the Hyatt Hill Country Resort and Spa and had so much fun relaxing and hanging out as a family! The Shamu show never gets old. It is amazing what these animals can do!
Kyler and Camden were glued to the water anxious to see what Shamu would do next!
The baby whale that was born last year when we took the boys for their first time is getting so big! She is actually doing tricks in the shows now and this is her up on the platform right along side her mommy!
The new section of Sea World called "Bay of Play" was so much fun for our kids! It was a little too cold for the water part so having this huge climbing park to play in made it so fun!
Camden was enjoying himself:)
What was even better is that Sesame Street was their performing and my boys LOVE Elmo! That was a huge highlight of their trip!
Getting redy for the dolphin show "Azul" and enjoying some cotton candy!
Back at the Hyatt resort that evening for some fun sand play and floating the lazy river!
Camden cracked himself up pouring water on his head over and over!
Kyler loved floating the river in his own tube with his daddy! I forgot my camera for the evening activities, but we roasted marshmallows and made S'mores with the boys after enjoying some yummy Rudy's BBQ! The boys had such a fun time getting to stay up late and play with their daddy and have all of his attention!:)
The next day we adventured down to the sand and lazy river for some more play and fun! the boys wore themselves out for the ride home back to Houston!
Camden was so exhausted he fell asleep and didn't even finish eating his grape so I captured his chipmunk cheek while he slept holding his "teddy" and favorite blue blanket!
